Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best known for her roles in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of high school after her parents split up to move into Los Angeles to live with her mother. She was struggling to get by and was offered her first acting role as Rachel's Room's lead character. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance in Murder on the streets of Greenwich of 15 year old Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to be awarded. Grace Rutherford, a character in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was forced to quit the show to concentrate on her professional film work. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace was back on the Lost series in the final two episodes, playing Shannon. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season, which aired from 2013 to 2014. She portrays Faith who's both an avid stargazer as well as a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal was nominated to win an Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the love story Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. The year 2006 was the time she appeared in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However it was her performance as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). As the single mother in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her subsequent roles include Nanny McPhee, the Big Bang and Hysteria. Other roles are as an agent for The Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and also the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she is the main character. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021. she directed and wrote the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film received the award for Best Screenplay in the Venice International Film Festival, and was also nominated for The Academy Award. Academy Award.
