Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. His hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Best Song in 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN to the Medellin-based company Sony, which is distributed by La Industria Inc. The album reached number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then joined Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated on a track with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He in the year following, he released his sophomore album which was the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared in 2021 in a duo with TINI on her cult streaming single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical family, his elder brother and mom are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. When he was young, he taught to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. Although his first choice of career was a career as a vet His brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons from a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of discovering the talent as a singer altered the direction of his life.
