Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. As a young girl, she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she studied at The Dragon School. Emma decided to be an actor by the age of six. For several years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing as well as dancing, and also acting. By the time she turned 10, Emma had taken part in many Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It also was one of the top-rated films of 2001. Opening weekday and weekend ticket sales were record-breaking. It was highly acclaimed by critics, as were the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Then Emma was shortlisted for five prizes for her work in the film winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in the feature Film.
