Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classical Boleros from the past along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. While a student, and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. After relocating to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially among the younger generation in keeping the music in the present.
